LOCKSMITHS: Lot of Vintage Amarlock by Welch telescoping lock boltMy Dad started our locksmith business in 1968 and here are some items from deep within a drawer, hoping someone might use these. Amarlock by Welch was a telescoping Amarlite replacement mortise lock for narrow stile doors. This is old stock. Not sure how common these are anymore, but when you need it, you need it.
What you see in the photos is what you get. The mortise cylinders are all Welch keyway, 2 are keyed alike and 2 have no key. Any locksmith can rekey those two. 2 of the lock bodys are all metal, 2 are plastic. To me, the plastic ones look like they might be used and the metal ones look like they might be new.
They all have the telescoping bolt. I am also including the pictured rim cylinder in this lot because it is also Welch keyway.

Amarlite / GUARD Amarlock Replacement Lock for Narrow Style Doors.
Unique, tele-scoping bolt-in-a-bolt, for a total throw of 1-1/4.
Uses a 1-3/16 diameter cylinder.
Backset: 7/8
Case Size: 1-1/8 x 1-1/2 x 2-15/16 Bolt:
Housing: 1/2 x 3/4 x 1.
Steel extension: 11/32 x 19/32 x 7/8 cast steel.
Face: 1 x 5 with 4-1/2 CC oval screw holes.
The 380070 is the only exact replacement for the original Amarlite Telescopic Bolt lock.
Cylinder holes are threaded for original Amarlite cylinder and other standard size mortise cylinders. Special cam is required to work with this lock, such as #6 Yale, or #4 ilco narrow.
